Tonight will come swiftly
And the day will be gone.
Will have I accomplished all
That I had planned at dawn?
Will I look back in time
And be pleased with what I'll see?
Or will I mourn the time now lost
And the things that failed to be?
Though I cannot see the future
And predict what tonight will be
I know at the present moment
To make choices I am free.
So I will try to use my wisdom
And purse my daily goal;
Then, when tonight will come,
I will have fulfilled my special role.
