Halloween party theme ideas can be broken down into two basic groups: Ideas for young children and ideas for adults. Except for the traditional notion of wearing costumes and eating candy, these parties may be somewhat different, including the decorations, music, food, and any contests or other planned events.
While planning a Halloween party for teens is possible, it may become tricky, since most may want to plan their own festivities, or perhaps roam around for the evening's revelry. There are always exceptions, of course, but those folks not of the teen mindset (specifically parents) may want to simply speak a few words of caution and then leave teens to their own devices. However, if your teen does ask for your input, especially if they offer to host a Halloween gathering, feel free to use any ideas in this article, keeping your teen's personality in mind.

You could give prizes for the scariest, most fun, most elaborate, most creative, or most theme-related costume. This idea is also good for the tastiest food dish, the spookiest story, or the most impressive Jack-O-Lantern. Let you mind run wild with similar ideas!
