How to lose 10 pounds in a week

Assuming there is a sound reason to want to lose ten pounds in a week, a person should first think about their age, their current state of health, and their stress level, before embarking on this project, otherwise there may be an unwelcome, and seriously unhealthy outcome. It's not just about calories, it's about nutrition. The old saying, "you are what you eat", is far from tired. Appropriately incorporated into your life, it is the definition of good health, which includes weight control issues. For some more than others, a doctor should be consulted before going on an extreme change of diet.

Fat cells don't reproduce secretly while we are sleeping. By the time we are adults, we have a certain number of fat cells, which get bigger or smaller, as they respond to our daily dose of calories. If calories are the only consideration, the chances are pretty good that a dieter will regain the lost weight, once they return to their regular routine. So then, what can be done to lose ten pounds, and assuming you will be at your ideal weight, maintain the weight loss.

To lose unwanted ten pounds in a short seven days, and maintain the loss, reasonable changes should be made to attitude first, then exercise, and then calories.

1. To help change attitude, visit a health food supply place, and check out some of the green and protein powders. They list their ingredients, and provide great, no fuss nutrition, making it easier to change, and maintain, dietary habits. Because they are truly the royalty of fast food, there is excellent nutrition, and less calories, while they allow for much less stress in meal preparation time. Some of these products may be better than others, so consult with the store personnel, who will help you choose the best one, remembering that quality of ingredients, and not price, is the issue.

2. To enhance a quick ten pound weight loss, add a new exercise plan into the schedule. It's very important, and the real profit from a good exercise program is not just a quicker weight loss, but improved lasting health. Age, general health considerations and ability, should be well thought out before choosing the type of exercise most appropriate. In each case they will enhance the individual ability to burn calories, the more fit to begin with, the more likely a more strenuous daily routine. The use of weights, as well as aerobic exercise will both use calories, and the free weight control will help keep the muscles in better shape to hold up what is left after the ten pounds are gone.

3. To utilize the green and protein drinks will take planning. They are easy to use both at home, and to carry to work either already mixed and in a thermos, or as a powder to be shaken and mixed at lunch time. Some of these drinks are a whole food, and some are not. Be sure and get the best for this quick weight loss, so that you won't be shy of all the vitamins, minerals, and trace minerals, your body needs each and every day.

4. If you get hungry, drink water. Again. If you get hungry drink water. It's especially important as your body is breaking down various tissues as you lose weight. The water will naturally help the body filter out the waste. Quick weight loss can donate a toxicity level to your body, that will compromise your health. So it is important to keep a steady diet of water.

If you are several days into this weight loss project, and begin to feel poorly, you might consider a less stringent plan. However, utilizing some of the high quality food sources in powder form, will make your seven day, ten pound weight loss much less stressful, and easier to maintain after all.
