Lost in time
At the water's edge
we walked together
holding hands
the sea of life
surrounding us
the ocean on our left
the air shimmered
with unspoken promises
your eyes danced
glowing like the moon
that also danced
on the peak of each wave
reaching forward
to caress our feet
as we strolled by the ocean
at the edge of the world
at the edge of time
lost in each other
lost in time
the breeze carried laughter
and the warmth of the sea
you smelled of cinnamon and jasmine
the subtle fragrance of love
sweet kisses stolen in the moonlight
timeless lovers in a timeless land
the beach came to an end
at the edge of the world
at the edge of time
lost in each other
lost in time
a blue star rose from the ocean
it's light pure, unrelenting
dazzling in its brilliance
all else was shadow
softly running on dark feet
'it is a sign, my love'
'a sign?' i asked
'tonight we love
without reservation
tonight we make life'
we kissed and
the covenant
of our love
was sealed
at the edge of the world
at the edge of time
lost in each other
lost in time

LOST IN TIME
He loved me once, he loved me then,
But, he will never love me again.
What we had was oh so divine,
