Poetry: If I die today

by Kathleen Sihock

Created on: October 27, 2009

If I die today don't shed a tear

Cry for me while I'm here

For I can't see you when I'm gone

Remember all the good times we had

Laughing with our children, and holding hands

There are no promises of tomorrow

So let's don't live in pain, and sorrow

Let's live for today because that's all we have

And please be happy for the times we had

Tell our children how much I loved them

And make them smile when you talk about me

Give them good memories to hang on to

And tell them there angel will always watch over them

Let them know we will all be together someday

But, until then remember me and smile

For we will only be apart for a little while

So make everyday count, don't waste a minute

For you never know when you won't be in it
