THE EGO AND YOU
Those who understand the effort it takes to control the ego, are the ones who will be able to handle the increased frequency and energy, that's taking place on earth now. They can greatly benefit from learning the tools or skills that would allow them to control the fear, anger, stress and problems, created by the ego, that they will have to deal with in these challenging times.
Within your head is four separate and distinct brains. And you're made up of four separate and distinct selves. The hypothalamus is the seat of command for the limbic brain. (See fig. below) The two limbic brains are small, but powerful because they use obsessive compulsive thoughts and behaviors. They are your engines. They are your source of power and energy.
The thalamus with neural connections to all parts of the grey matter of the neocortex is the command center for the other two brains. They are the helmsmen, guides or controllers of the engines.
Only one of these brains or selves operates at the conscious level. And that's you, the rational, logical self. The other three brains or selves operate below your level of awareness.
One of which is the ego, your subconscious, emotional self. The ego's powerful drive gives it a lot of energy, most of which is used to create thoughts in your head! The ego is your engine of emotional energy that you need to harness by developing the skills or tools of control.
The need to control the ego is important because the ego is an obsessive, compulsive thinker. The ego has a powerful obsessive/compulsive emotional drive system while you, the conscious self, have will power, effort. This is a huge difference in power.
The ego's powerful drive gives it an excess of energy which it uses to create thoughts in your head. It is an obsessive, compulsive thinker and is always in your head, and controls your thinking to fulfill it's desires. Your ego is very powerful. To demonstrate its power, try to keep your thoughts blank, and then listen watchfully for ideas that come into your head from the ego. Ten-seconds is the usual amount of time most can stay in control and keep the ego's thoughts from intruding into their head. So most of the thoughts in your head come from the ego.
For you or anyone to think takes effort. You have to try to be logical or rational. The times when thoughts are coming from you, are when you study, when you are being creative, like solving a problem, like a puzzle, or when you try to comprehend what you
