Yes, organic produce is definitely worth more money. Before becoming aware of the benefits of organic produce, I never understood the impact that not eating organically could have on biological health. I never used to be aware of the dangers associated with pesticides or hormones, until the day that I was informed of the chemicals that certain crops are exposed to. Pesticides can be toxic. They are

carcinogenic and can cause damage to the immune system. I never received cancer or problems related to the immune system, but the thought of eating produce with chemical residue repulsed me. It was then I decided to learn more about organic food.

Organic produce does not utilize the same pesticides that are prevalent within regular produce. Such elements of produce are not grown with the same types of artificial fertilizers, exposed to radiation, or other such methods used to prevent the spread of bacteria and fungi. Without being grown with such processes, organic produce possesses the potential of being more appealing. It is preferred to eat produce without the potential of unknown effects from mysterious chemicals.

Unfortunately, a negative aspect of consuming organic produce is that it is more expensive than regular produce. Especially with the present state of the economy, spending more money on produce that is available for lower prices does not seem logical. However, once the health concerns of consuming chemical residues are considered, the decision to purchase organic produce over regular produce may become clearer. In the end, it is better to spend the extra money by purchasing safer foods than it is to have to spend the money on medical treatment resulting from the long-term effects of chemical ingestion.

When regarding the matter, it is frightening to realize how many chemicals are present within the produce consumed on a daily basis that is not organic. Because the effects of the pesticides are not experience by everyone or all at the same time, simply consuming or purchasing regular produce does not seem like such a crucial predicament. On the shelves, the produce appears harmless. The chemical residues obviously cannot be directly observed. That, nevertheless, does not mean that they are not present. If people take the time to research the levels of pesticides found within different types of produce, they will find that most of the produce consumed is considered as containing the highest degrees of pesticide residues. Examination of this evidence will result in astonishment. It proves the reality of a disadvantage that we would rather not desire to contend with.

Considering the dangers of chemical poisoning, the detriment of cancer, and the various other potential damages of pesticides, choosing organic food is definitely the better alternative. Organic produce is worth more money because it does not possess these same harmful effects. Even though the organic produce is more expensive than the regular produce, buying in smaller quantities and continuously being aware of sales can help to ameliorate this conflict. Purchasing organic produce is one step toward improving health and lifestyle.
