Human nature is corrupt and all closed geographic societies become authoritarian eventually. Government bureaucracies become repressive, hypocritical and keep a double books system of applied ethics. Communist governments advance the process of corruption and form in reaction to existing corrupt governments generally.
Communist governments are not very good at supporting creative change or of supporting individual improvement of material life situations. Communist governmemnts are good at reapporting existing resources. They redistribute wealth very well. The U.S. Government recently gave nearly 2 trillion dollars to private interests to 'stimulate' a jobless economic recovery. With such free money the corporatist agenda could not help but feel a little energy. Making indentured servants of the public is something the corporate elite like. China's banks will now fund the building of a billlion dollar 36,000 acre wind farm of air generators in West Texas. I am not sure if that means that the Chinese made wind turbines will let Americans pay rent to the Chinese Communist Party or the Red Army-communist leaders own things through subsidiaries.
The fundamental problems of communism may not be transcendental for all communist ontologies but are instead local per each model. A communist model with group characteristics sufficient to consider the economic and political actualization of the model as communist would tend to lack factors such as competition and privacy, private property and individual political authority as a social equal to form political organizations expressive of enlightened self interest. Communism was intended by Mark to dampen and control vicious social exploitation by the advantaged of others in nsociety. Absolute state authority actualized tends toward becoming absolutely corrupt. Human character makes the corruption of ossified social strucctures a challenge rather than a rare exception for most of society. it is the dynamic remoteness of human freedom from oppressive mass social organizations that enables free thought and reform movements absent from communist theoretical structure.
Basic state authoritarianism is corrupting for itself and precludes reform. Reform is restricted to that which is approved by the ruling elite. Western corporatism embodies many of the same problems as communism in the ability it has to repress individual political liberty and to pragmatically form personal economic stability.
