I would defiantly say yes, I would buy and use used shoes. Though I never have, it would save a lot of money. Many, many times people will buy shoes, wear them a few times, and realize they don't want them, or a pair they already have is better for them. Another time this would be extremely helpful, is when you need to buy a certain kind of shoes for some occasion, for example, graduation or a wedding.

If you're like me and many others, you won't want to wear dress shoes every day, or any day for that matter, but need to for some reason that day. Well, why would you want to pay the high price for nice shoes, if you can buy someone else's that they used once for something, and they are in perfect condition.

Basically the only thing you would have to worry about when buying used shoes is that the person you are buying them from has no problems, like fungus or anything else that could be transmitted through them. Before you wear them, you would want to thoroughly clean them to make sure they are clean and you will not have any problems like that. The spray to make sure their clean will only cost a few bucks, it won't hurt you to pay for that to make sure you don't get fungus. If you need to check on what you can do to keep them clean, and what to use, you could check with a local bowling alley.

Bowling alleys are a great place to learn the proper items to use, but you also need to use common sense. Wear socks for them, unless you actually clean them on your own, with a lot more than just the spray. You can easily clean them by throwing them in the washer (alone if too dirty), or scrubbing by hand. Myself, I would just put them in the washing machine, then drier, as long as it's safe for the kind of shoe you bought. Some shoes could actually be harmed in a washer or drier. A good example of this is, you can use Bleach on white shoes (if the inside is white as well) and keep them nice and white, while if you did this to a black shoe, you would have white spots on it. Basically when cleaning, you need to use common sense on what you can and cannot do. If you're not sure, check the internet with a simple Google search, trust me, you would not be the only one with the problem.

In conclusion, I would buy certain shoes used for personal use. I would just want to make sure their properly cleaned to avoid fungus and other problems. I would need to make sure I clean them properly according to the color and type of shoe. Some shoes are made of fabrics you cannot wash or dry. Lastly, I would always wear socks just to make sure nothing happens, I wouldn't want to have to deal with and foot problems.
