Why all illegal immigrants in the US should be expelled immediately

by Jamie Reed

I know that immigration in general is a heated subject and many would rather ignore it than deal with it, after all, since most illegal aliens come through our southern border and are Hispanic, if you say that you are against illegal immigrants, than many interpret that as being against Hispanics in general, but they could not be more wrong.

However, I believe that by ignoring the flood of poverty washing up on our southern shores then you doom this great country to poverty as well, what good does it do to be in the wealthiest nation in the world if you give away money faster than you make it.

According to the Pew Hispanic Center, 24% of illegal aliens came from Latin America and an astounding 57% from Mexico in 2005, therefore 81% come from Spanish speaking countries to our south. This creates an easy fix for our problem, we make English the official language of the United States, then anyone who does not speak fluent English could be detained and required to provide proof of citizenship.

The second change we make is to require extensive testing, in English, for all people who desire citizenship, then we would know that those who cross into our country and contribute to making and keeping it great. In addition to these changes we should start enforcing laws that we already have on the books and deport all illegal aliens along with their anchor children.

The smartest and best thing we can do for our children is to make sure that the people coming into our country are intelligent and able to work to make America a better place. I do not wish to end all immigration, just require that any who come can be making a good contribution to America.

It is intolerable that we continue down a path we know has never worked and can never work, allowing these illegals to stay within our country is an insult to every law abiding citizen, we can no longer tolerate politicians who pander to Hispanics because they only wish to make this country look and sound more like them, and it helps no one, not even the hispanics who are already here.

We must demand English as our national language, we must demand that new immigrants be productive and beneficial and we must require that all people who have entered this country illegally be returned to their home countries.
