Anxious.
Heart racing.
Pulse pounding.
My eyes flicker away from yours,
Blinking rapidly.
Fingers twitch,
Yours laced with mine.
Palms slick.
We lean close,
Our eyes flutter closed,
You press your lips against mine,
I go weak.

Before this loathsome night is through,
