The 2010 Lexus ES350 is produced by a company that has a long history of quality built cars and sports utility vehicles, customer satisfaction and luxury that continues to impress in their latest entry into the sedan line of automobiles. With a base MSRP of $34,800, this vehicle does bring more buyers to the table who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford a vehicle that competes with the BMW 7-series or Audi 8. However, even with the multitude of standard features, additional options can certainly add to the price tag in a hurry.
The ES350 comes standard with the following features -
- SmartAccess - With this feature, you can lock and unlock your doors, open the trunk and start the ignition-all without having to take your keys out of your pocket or purse. As soon as the sensors detect the presence of your SmartAccess key, the door unlocks when you touch the handle. Because of the SmartAccess feature, you do not need to take your keys out of your pocket either. Once inside, your car will sense the chip in your key chain immediately. Simply push the Start/Stop button located on the dashboard to start or stop the engine. Of course, you may still use your keys in the ignition if you prefer, but if you'd rather not have to fumble with your keys this gives you that option.
- Dual-zone climate control with air filter and smog sensor. If pollutants are recognized by internal sensors the air conditioner will recirculate the air inside the cabin until the outside air reaches a low level of acceptable pollutants.
- Seat memory, leather upholstery, tilt steering and audio controls on the steering wheel
- Advanced driving controls including heads up display, brake assist and distribution for quick braking and accident avoidance
- Advanced safety features including front, side and knee airbags for the driver and front passenger
While the list of standard features normally reserved for sedans in the $50,000+ price range is included in the base model ES350, other options are available at your request ranging from upgraded floor mats to 14 speaker stereo systems and navigational features. The 3.5L, 272 horsepower engine is standard, propelling the ES350 from 0 to 60 in 6.8 seconds, which is quicker than average in the luxury price range for this size engine.
This Lexus line, while not a new model and not a drastic restyling of an existing line, provides a buyer with a refined sedan capable of a daily commute or a trip to a formal function. Backed by an industry leading warranty and protection plan, any buyer will have a long lasting car that exudes confidence, reliability and sophistication.
