Why snow white skin has become the latest must-have accessory

If you're milk-white like I am, it's hard not to feel jealous of bronzed babes that swarm the streets, even in the middle of winter. We ghosts occasionally feel sickly and weak in comparison to the light-brown divas. When you think about it, there are barely any good words associated with being pale. On the labels of our foundations and cover-ups, it'll say "porcelain" or "ivory" but we all know they mean "chalk-white" or "pasty." We see the other rows of colors that say "golden" or "sunkissed" and we get mad.... frustrated...and annoyed. Mine says "tanslucent." How insulting is that?

But I've got awesome news.

Pale is the new tan.

Yeah, you heard me.

Embrace it. Love it. Cherish it.
Why? Well, I've got a few reasons.

First of all, a tan may look healthy, but it is quite bad for your skin. It can lead to wrinkles, spotting, cell damage, and even skin cancer. These long term and usually irreversable effects are definately make a tan not worth it. It's healthy to get a little sun occasionally, but itcan seriously pull the moisture out of your skin. Even if you don't have these serious issues, you can still get a painful burn and some nasty peeling.Ick.

Next, pale people can look great with many styles. Rouge lipstick, blush, and blonde hair we can carry like no other. Not to mention blue eyes on a light person stand out like ice crystals. Black, blue, and red dresses also are quite flattering, and the right color combination flatters porcealin skin beautifully.

Not only are we healthy and look awesome in most colors, pale skin is beautiful on it's own! Don't think of it as deathly, see it as heavenly! Everyone else is trying to be tan, but we're a rarity. We're natural! Don't hide those lily-white arms under sweatshirts and long sleeves, flaunt them in a tank top! Fear no bikini and miniskirt. Just make sure when the sun's high, you wear plenty of sunscreen to protect your awesome skin, otherwise you'll be more of a lobster than an ivory goddess. And that is never fun.
