Music has the capability to change a mood in a matter of seconds. The tune, genre, familiarity, and even the words of the song are what either lightens or darkens a person's current state of being. It can even give you courage. Everyone should be able to fit in some "feel good" music on a daily basis. It is literally "feel good" music because with the right type you are able to release endorphins which make you happier.
In the morning after showering and eating breakfast, try playing a song before your leave or start your day. Try a tune with a good beat and high energy. Let yourself get into the song as you let the music energize you. In the evening after dinner play soothing relaxing music to melt away the stresses of your day.
Music can raise your self esteem as well. Learn the lyrics to songs about feeling good about yourself and sing along to them. Sing loudly in front of the mirror or in the shower even if you don't think you have a good voice, it doesn't matter what you sound like. What matters is how you feel. Sing along on a daily basis and you feel better in general.
The invention of car radios was genius. People who have road rage and are honking their horns like mad men probably haven't had their dose of "feel good", self-esteem raising music today. If you find yourself stuck in traffic, there's no point in worrying about what time you'll be getting to your destination, causing unneeded anxiety. It would be much more beneficial to turn on some soothing beats than to let stress get the best of you. This is especially true when dealing with driving with children put on something that you'll all enjoy and grove together, letting the music into your soul. Let your inner child out while singing along.
Having a really bad day? Put on your headphones and go for a brisk walk or even a jog. Exercise combined with music is guaranteed to make you feel much better. Listening to music on a daily basis is guaranteed to improve your life in general and is considered a form of therapy.
