Sometimes it seems so easy to run the country from my living room, and if anyone would agree to listen to ME, I'd know exactly what to do to improve all our issues. Then again, this ability only seems true when I watch FOX news. It's like being a victim of,"The Stockholm Syndrome," when I'm stuck in a rut, quoting men who get paid to make me hate the president so much that I begin to identify with some wise guy who talks way too much.
In fact, just the other day Glen Beck, the talk show host who knows the most, stood before a chalk board on world wide TV, and like a presidential professor of some kind, he tried to teach people like me, of all human beings, how to run the country from the comfort of my own living room, just in case I ever become president of the USA some day. Even so, and no matter how wise his advise might have been, it seemed insane to me that I could be taught by a talk show host, much less the view of doom and gloom through FOX news, whose extreme negative opinions might not have anything to do with the truth, much less reveal the reality of being a president of the USA today. That's why I made up my mind that I should step into a true president's shoes if I'm going to write an article that states, "If I were president of the United States," before I even try to fill in the blank.
I suppose if I were a black man with an Arabic name, like the current president remains, the first thing I'd do before I ever thought of running a race for president of the United States would be to ask my mother, "Why did you actually choose to name me Barrack Hussein, for heaven's sake?" Then again, I assume that if she had known what would make some Americans afraid today, she'd probably had named me George or Butch, so since she obviously had no clue what I'd face one day, I'd need the audacity to hope that at least most Americans would know that those names that rhyme with mine won't mean that words we've heard make three separate human beings become one in the same. After all, that's why I wrote the book, "The Audacity of Hope." Who knows? Maybe they'll see that it's okay to embrace a diverse name. After all, stranger things have happened in and within Americans who live within the USA, right?
That's why I'd say if I were to run a race to be the president of these divided United States of America today and if I happened to be a black democrat with an Arabic name, the first thing I'd do after resolving the issues of my race and my name, would be to fall down on my humbled knees to pray for God's amazing grace and that's why I'd have won my campaign based on nothing but hope and faith. After that, I'd use my attitude of gratitude to pray when I say, "Thank you Lord for giving me the amazing grace it takes to motivate hope and inspire faith among a bunch of Americans who remain so afraid of black men with Arabic names, even though the Civil Rights Act was long since passed.
Of course, since I'd be a Christian AND an American Citizen, I'd have to rely on faith to believe that some Americans will find the faith it takes to blindly believe that I do tell the truth, so they can trust me when I say, "I was born in Hawaii, which happens to be a state within the USA, which I've been called to lead but do not want to own control of in any way, and in spite of my Arabic name, I am a Christian. In fact, I'd ask for God to help the people I try to lead to believe that I am no more Muslim than Glen Beck's blue eyes and white race makes him a Nazi. After that, I'll try to be like Martin Luther King who saw beyond the mountain top of strife to a place where Americans no longer stereotype, much less discriminate by hating a man due to his race or his name, so obviously I'd pray, "Please help them see that I have the strength of character it takes to embrace the mix of diversity which is exactly why they don't need to be afraid of me."
Then again, I'd proceed with the faith it takes to actually believe that with God by my side along with the support of the majority of brave Americans, God would achieve through me what would otherwise be impossible dreams, like fixing the mess Bush left, while trying to make peace with those countries who have hated our guts so much that they still feel justified in attacking us like they've tried for decades, all at the same time that I maintain the hope and faith it will take to motivate at least a few republicans to see that, "YES WE CAN," reform the big monopoly of the health care insurance industry if we dare to go out on a limb and do something different now and then.
Beyond all that, I'd have to get someone to listen to me, a black man with an Arabic name who became the commander in chief of the military, to see that my goal is to achieve complete world wide peace, so why don't we try embracing who we used to hate for a change? Of course, that's when they'll all say I'm insane, or a communist who wants to dictate the world, so I'd know that even if I won the Nobel Peace Prize, there would be some Americans who'd refuse to see, much less believe that I stand up for what is right for mankind, world wide, in my humble effort to inspire the world wide faith it takes to maybe someday actually achieve the impossible dream of world wide peace.
That's why I'd go out on a limb and ask that we face what makes us afraid so that I can do what God called me to do, which would be to do what benefits mankind, even though I know how afraid some Americans can get when the word, "change," is heard. Then again, that's where my hope and faith comes in. That's why I'd communicate what I debate through a view of hope and faith, like Martin Luther King, rather than try to manipulate brains or make the people afraid the way FOX news agrees to produce, and for my nations sake, I'd put the people on top of my political list of things to do, even if it leads to my political demise. Even so, I'd know the list will be huge, but I'd do whatever it takes to change the facts that had remained the same for decades, and by the way, since I'd know that the people would expect me to do all that immediately, I'd pray for the patience of a saint it will take to lead the USA into the change that must be made.
Then when the patience of a saint is achieved, through surviving all the ways people judge me with some dignity and grace, the first thing I'd do would be what I and the majority of my country believes the United States should have done in the first place, like follow all international laws even if it's not convenient for me, personally. Due to the universal fact that what we think, say and do comes back to haunt us eventually, I'd immediately ban torture of all kinds on the grounds that it's simply the humane thing to do, considering the United States is a law abiding place where we, "the people," claim to stand as, "one nation under God." I'd put it into law that no American will ever again break international law, much less torture anyone at all. After that, I'd add to that act that we will choose to achieve any information we need through humane techniques which allow even our enemy to keep their human dignity, just because it's the way a Christian commander in chief should behave. Besides, since we stand as one nation under God, we believe that justice always wins in the end, and our actions will be a witness to this truth.
By then, I'd have motivated more than a few former enemies to stop hating our guts so much that they feel justified in attacking us, but since I'd know that I don't deserve a prize for what I've yet to achieve, I'd give all credit that leads to world wide peace to God and all those brave Americans who sacrificed their lives and/or chose to vote for hope rather than fear based hate within the USA. After that, I'd go on about my dignified way to do what benefits all, which would be a priority for me, like re- jump starting the dead as a door nail economy. After that, I'd work on fixing the issues that revolve around why the economy sucked so much, like big head banks and high priced insurance industries that rob Americans blind, while they monopolize whether or not we live or die, and that's why I'd need to motivate hope in at least one republican that all Americans really do have the right to survive a treatable disease for life.
After all, a universal health care plan would benefit us all, once and for all, which would include but not be excluded to the democrat senators who actually pass the act that would save more than a few republican hides too. Who knew? With more than enough hope and faith, maybe even those lives who remain, "dismissed as insignificant," can be saved. That's why I'd need to find a, "Yes We Can," attitude every day in spite of the strife to motivate the hope and faith that always wins in the end, but only when the president keeps the faith he achieved in the people he leads.
Even though I'd know how to see beyond those monsters in Glen Beck's mind, to a time and place where everyone has the right to life, and I'd also know the more options we provide, the more equal the people's rights, I'd also know how fast fear based hate can grow. Still, I'd try to hold onto hope that if we provide what benefits mankind, God will provide more than enough of what it takes to pay for a new and improved way to save countless lives. Yes, I know the change I made will be only the beginning of a new and improved society, and the fruits of our labor won't be seen until a decade or so after I leave the presidency, but then again, I'm not in this for the credit anyway. I was simply born to serve my country so I simply want to save the USA from the big mistakes we made for decades.
That's why I need to stand by God, who is the only soul who could show me how to motivate a bunch of Americans who remain afraid of change, my race and my name to believe that, "YES WE CAN," achieve this impossible dream and so many more if we improve our attitudes more than ever before. Yes, I'd agree on how expensive it would be, but since I already know that with hope and faith, God always provides the amazing grace it takes to achieve impossible dreams when it benefits all His children, I'd still need even more amazing grace, just to motivate negative nay sayers, all those men who get paid to make people afraid and those who choose to watch FOX news in the first place. Considering they claim to be, "American's favorite news source," it won't be easy of course.
That's why I'd need to fall down on my knees and keep praying every day and half the night for nothing short of the amazing grace that can only come from the Lord God Almighty to change the facts that otherwise remain the same due to the fear based hate that creates news to be produced through a view of doom and gloom. That's why I'd sometimes get so frustrated that I'd want to scream on world wide live TV, "OKAY, I QUIT AND AS OF TODAY, I GIVE UP ON YOU PEOPLE OF THE USA, But before I do, I'd like to say to all Americans who actually choose to watch FOX news, "YOU DESERVE EXACTLY WHAT FOX NEWS PREDETERMINES FOR YOU."
But no, I won't. After all, if I was the first US black president with an Arabic name, I'd get a grip and get over it. It's not as if I'd not become accustomed to being condemned through all those fear based hateful political views some people choose to look through, and besides, I'd refuse to abuse the right to free speech as an excuse to be rude, crude and socially unacceptable. Furthermore, even if it means they'll accuse me of being a socialistic president, it's not okay for any president of the USA to behave in a socially unacceptable way anymore. Like some kind of liberal lion, I'll roar even more, "YES WE CAN, and we can even achieve impossible dreams, just as soon as some of you face what makes you afraid in the first place." After that, I'd explain that it's the monsters in our minds that bite our society's behind all the time, so let's get a grip and get over it, PLEASE, and for our nation's sake, I'd say these things any time I'm on live TV, even if it means I'm only seen on CNN or a link to NBC.
In the mean time, I'd focus my attention of what needs to be my immediate intention in and within Afghanistan and Iraq at the same time that I try to motivate hope and inspire the faith it takes to trust me, while too many of the people I lead remain afraid of ME instead of the true enemy. That's why, while they choose to listen to FOX news all day and half the night, I'll do what I can to save their hides and maybe even their lives. I'll do this through that same hope and faith that won the election in the first place, so that while half the country listens to those who get paid to make them afraid of the President of the United States, for heaven's sake, I'll try to maintain my dignity and grace. In the mean time, I'll intend to find ways to motivate the hope and faith it takes to end what creates war in the first place.
By then, I will have been the president for nine whole months, but since I've yet to achieve world wide peace, much less American trust, I'll simply keep focused on the faith it takes to keep fighting for all those who still don't know what they may face someday. I'll do this because I place my country above my political popularity. No matter what FOX news chooses to produce or even if they accuse me of being, "The Anti-Christ," I'll behave in a Christ-like Christian way every day when I try to reform health care in the USA to benefit all, once and for all. With ways to motivate hope in my mind at all times, I'll ask God to give me the ability to help the citizens I try to lead to simply BELIEVE in things yet to be seen so that no American will ever again be, "dismissed as insignificant."
When we dare to go out on a limb to make a difference, only then can we honestly claim to be, "One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Otherwise, we only provide one option that can and does monopolize our lives and can legally control whether we live or die. Although I know that none of the democrats who pass this act will ask for any pay raise they won't have to pay themselves, I also know that the republican party will try with all their might to block what we should have passed in the decades before yesterday, due to their need to be right, God will provide what benefits mankind. Although I'll wholeheartedly agree that free enterprise is great for a free USA, when greed begins to exceed the needs of human beings, it'll be time for the government to step in now and then to protect and defend the people we represent and to provide what benefits all Americans which in the end, make me a president who finally stands up for even those who've remained dismissed as insignificant for far too long, and since I do, I know world wide peace will peace come along eventually.
I'll remind my fellow Americans that hope and faith is what made the USA great in the first place. In fact, it was those tired and poor huddled masses yearning to breathe free who created free enterprise with nothing but hope and the faith it takes to believe in impossible dreams. I'd them remind myself of what every president learns the hard way, which is that all he or she can do is to motivate hope and inspire the faith it takes to achieve the amazing grace that only God can provide through people who choose to BELIEVE in an endless list of possibilities. Some facts remain the same. The success of any president, even if he or she were someone like me, always depends on, "the people," we try to lead.
That's why, if I were the president of these divided states of America today, I'd most likely quote what a wise president already said, which I'd repeat constantly. "I'm asking you to BELIEVE, not just in my ability to bring about the change we need, but in your own." A quote by Barrack Hussein Obama.
