My Final Breath
You lay sleeping
So soft, so gentle
At peace with the world
I gaze at your silent beauty
Drink in the curves of your body
Feel the silkiness of your skin
Our hearts pounds in rhythm
If your heart should stop
Mine will soon follow
I touch your soft face
Slowly caress your body
Memorize each curve at my fingertips
On a pedestal so high
You will always remain
I am destined to love you
A year has passed
So nervous you were
As you uttered I do
My love for you will never end
Until I look into your eyes one final time
My final breath
