There is no answer to this topic, and there should not be one. If you truly love someone then you understand that you cannot "make" them do anything. While it is true that we should be respectful, appreciative, faithful, and honest; none of this can guarantee love. Throughout life, people experience, grow, and change. This is natural evolution. When we choose to hold to something that never was ours, we move out of the comfort of love and into the depravity of dependence. We are not each others possessions. Truly loving someone means that you want the best for them. It means you want them to be happy with or without you. Far to often we let our love stand in the way of what we know is correct for ourselves and the people we love. I am not saying that we should give up hope and run at the first sign of incompatibility, but we should pay careful attention that we are not forcing our desires on another. We cannot make love where it does not exist. If someone loves you once, they will always love you. That love just changes form. Energy is neither created nor destroyed. We should instead focus our energy on loving ourselves, because the better we do that, the more all things in our lives begin to fall into place.
