My heart is wrapped up in purple,
The colour of sadness,
The colour of less than make believe.
It cherishes my emotions and it makes them grow,
They swim in its sea of colour,
And it watches them glow and get darker,
They weep and they resent,
They relent and then they fade,
And so my heart and I become purple,
We become one with its love for us,
With its love for our tears,
On which it feeds on.

The color of royalty
It won't let me be
It is so strong
Almost overwhelming
I want to swim
In an ocean of purple
Don't ignore me
I am regal
