An overview of Vitamin B complex

You heard of Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, and Vitamin B Complex. You wonder why is there a need to call Vitamin B Complex instead of Vitamin B.

B complex vitamin consists of eight B vitamins. B complex vitamin is essential for the body to perform many basic functions. The brain needs B complex vitamin. The heart needs B complex vitamin. All the organs in the body need B complex vitamin. Without B complex vitamin, we are as good as death.

The first vitamin in B complex vitamin is thiamine or vitamin B1. Thiamine (Vitamin B1) keeps all the cells function properly. Our brain needs Thiamine (Vitamin B1) to aid in memory. Our body needs Thiamine (Vitamin B1) to convert food into energy.

The second vitamin in B complex vitamin is Riboflavin or vitamin B2. Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) helps to release the energy from food that we consume. The body uses Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) to keep the red blood cells healthy. If we do not have sufficient Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), we cannot develop properly or grow.

The third vitamin in B complex vitamin is Niacin or vitamin B3. The body uses Niacin (Vitamin B3) in more than fifty bodily processes, including detoxifying chemicals, creating hormones and releasing the energy from the food we eat.

The fourth vitamin in B complex vitamin is Pathothenic acid or Vitamin B5. The body uses Pathothenic (Vitamin B5) to break down fats, carbohydrates and fats into energy. The body needs Pathothenic (Vitamin B5) to produce Vitamin D, a few hormones, and red blood cells.

The fifth vitamin in B complex vitamin is Pyridoxine or Vitamin B6. Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) to redistributing the amino acids and form more than five thousand proteins.

The sixth vitamin in B complex vitamin is Biotin or Vitamin B7. The body uses Biotin (Vitamin B7) to break down fats, carbohydrates and proteins into different energy for the body.

The seventh vitamin in B complex vitamin is Folic acid or Vitamin B9. Folic acid (Vitamin B9) is essential for cell growth and division. Pregnant woman needs Folic acid (Vitamin B9). The body uses Folic acid (Vitamin B9) to produce chemicals to control your appetite, moods and quality of sleep.

More importantly, Folic acid (Vitamin B9) can lower risk of heart attack or stroke by keeping your arteries open.

The last vitamin in B complex vitamin is Cobalamin or Vitamin B12. The body uses Cobalamin (Vitamin B12) to convert carbohydrates, proteins, and fats into energy. Cobalamin (Vitamin B12) helps the body to create the protective covering
