Poetry: Offering

by Marisol P

Time has eluded me and I seek someone to depend on.
I grow weary and need to rest my head.

I came across a faltered soul.
I picked it up, mended its wounds and held it in my arms.
This soul has flourished and now it lives to nurture other souls - yours.

As new days begin, I am overwhelmed with joy and feel rejuvenated.
I walk a new and unfamiliar path toward complete unity.
And as our eyes meet now, I am secure in our love.
Your warmth appeases my soul,
for I know our bond will last through the seasons.

Tonight, I will offer my shoulders to you.
You may depend on me forever.
