America is no longer the world's super power and the sooner we admit this, the sooner we can start to pull ourselves back together again to achieve that slot. However, for now, the government needs to focus on issues closer to home to rebuild the economy, the dollar and american wealth.

The government's solution to reducing conventional arms caches, is what? Spend more money building amazing american weapons to then lose them in some shipping error. No, that can't be it, maybe it is - that they will give money to terrorists to make them our allies and only see them turn on us 20 years later?

That can't be it either, maybe they will threaten a socialistic country with embargos because they are building atomic bombs, that can't be it either. Most of the solutions will be military ones which in turn will create more weapons.

The more weapons we make the more our enemies make. The only solution to reducing arms caches worldwide is through diplomacy. Ok, so at this point you think I am a freak who hates weapons and wants everyone to feel that "free love of peace." Nope, I work in the defense industry. I think we all have the right to bear arms. However, I know that the solution to reducing weapons around the word is not by building more weapons or threatening countries.

A more pratical solution would be to build up third world countries. Create wealth, not just in America but all over. Give people a reason to stay away from terrorism and violence. There are countries where people are so poor, no one can blame them for stealing to feed their family. I know, I live in a third world country for a few years and met many good families who were tied to crime because that is where the jobs were. Now, I in no way believe they were in the right. But if my child were starving, no jobs, no government support, what would you do?

A lot of the world hates America or at least dislikes us because we have been in power for so long, that they now view us as a bully. Telling other countries what to do. Let the IMF and UN do that, let's take a back seat. Get America out of debt. Feed the poor and homeless in America. Strengthen Canada and Mexico and start to work on economic policy for foreign countries.

Another solution is Cuba. They are socialists, they hate America. We don't make it any easier. Let's find a solution to that problem first. If we can solve Cuba (and I mean not by converting them to a democracy) but some sort of fair social system with more freedom for their people, then we will have won the war.

Cuba is allies with all the countries that despies us. Why? because we have been embargoing them for decades and their people are so poor and blocked off from the rest of the world, there is nowhere to turn but our enemies. Bring Cuba over as an ally, create a booming economy that is just under 100 miles from Florida and create peace. That will show the world we are changing our policies, that we can behave with others of different mindsets and might just turn the tides of world strife.

There are many, many, possibilities. All of them economic or stand off type policies that would foster peace and happiness on both sides. Happy people don't attack, murder and other sorts of iniquity, so all you have to do is find a way to turn our image around and make others happy in the process.
