Halloween is right around the corner and you are looking for a cheap costume. There are many different things that you could do. First of all think about the different characters you would like to be. It may be easier to find a costume under $10 than you think.

Look in your closet

Look in your closet and in your home to see what you have laying around. There are many things that you could use for a Halloween costume. Items such as hats and gloves could be used for a variety of different costumes. Be creative and think about all of the different costumes you could use with each item.

Use the makeup you already have

You could easily use your makeup instead of buying new. There might be one or two things that you still need but you will limit the cost by using what you already have. Apply the makeup on more heavily than you usually do, by doing so the makeup will look like it goes with the costume. Be creative and practice before Halloween.

Shop around

Look around at different stores to see what's available. Check stores that you know have low prices or sales going on. Go online and look for sales, you might be surprised. Check dollar stores, goodwill, and used stores. You never know what you will find!

Borrow items from friends

Look in your friends closet and ask to borrow their items. Tell them you will give it back to them right after Halloween. Between the items in your closet and your friends, you might only have to buy one or two things. Be sure to check your closet and home first to see what you have, this way you know what you are looking for.

Be creative

Think about different costumes you can do with each item. There are tons of characters you could be for Halloween. Choose one that you could easily be without a lot of items, or make sure you have most of the items. Use what you buy and what is in your closet in creative ways.

You don't have to spend a lot to have a Halloween costume. Finding a cheap, inexpensive costume might be easier than you think. Now go look in your closet and under your bed. Ask a friend to help out and look in their closet. Just remember to watch how much money you spend at the stores. If you need to buy a lot of items, you need to find them cheap. If you can't get the costume you wanted for under $10 then maybe you need to choose another costume.

Happy Halloween!
