Tips for leapfrogging Helium articles

Leapfrogging Helium articles can make a big difference to any article. An appropriate leapfrog should enhance the article. There are a few tips worth considering when leapfrogging a Helium article.

Firstly, which articles to leapfrog. Generally, it is best to leapfrog articles that are not especially highly ranked. Articles that are more in the bottom half are the best to leapfrog. However, if you notice any parts of a higher ranked article that could be edited then do indeed leapfrog the article.

The first thing to check for with any leapfrog is perhaps inaccurate spelling or alternatively any typos. With the Helium spell-checker you can check and edit the article's spelling. Then you can enter the accurate spelling.

You might also want to review the formatting of the article when leapfrogging. Check the spacing between paragraphs, and check that the paragraphs are not overly long. Also check for certain spacing between words, and that no spaces have been omitted.

With any Helium leapfrog, you can add further content to an article. For some articles, perhaps consider adding sub-headings if appropriate. Alternatively, you may also want to add some extra paragraphs perhaps. You may also add content to an article that no longer meets the minimum content, for those older Helium articles.  This will save it from a possible deletion, and also enhance the article.

Of course, you can also remove content from a Helium article. To add content may be more preferable, but remove a paragraph if it is in some way inappropriate. It may be the case that an article is seemingly very long, so removing content in this respect would be a good suggestion for a leapfrog.

You might also consider adding links to an article if appropriate. Links included to appropriate sources can enhance any submitted Helium article. So, it is worth considering adding some links to an article.

Another tip worth noting is to request some extra feedback on an article before leapfrogging. Feedback from other Helium authors is something that can assist with a leapfrog.  Post an article on the Helium critique forum, with a link to the article for this.

It is also worth noting that when you leapfrog an article, that you do indeed edit it conspicuously. That is to say that you edit more than just a few commas and typos. Helium leapfrogs should notably edit an article.

So, these are a number of tips worth considering for leapfrogging a Helium article. Check the SPAG, formatting, consider adding or removing content and perhaps also add links to an article. Hopefully, the leapfrog will enhance the article's ranking.
