I made a mistake letting
You into my life years ago.
You lied, hurt me, twisted my words,
And drove me crazy.
Now you're back,
Wanting back into my life.
Why?
I made a mistake and
Opened the door to communication.
Only for a day, just to ask why,
Just to see if you'd lie.
You say people change.
You say this and
You say that.
Is any of it true?
I don't know because
I can't trust you, ever again.
Time to close the door and padlock it.
I made a mistake letting you
Into my life years ago and
I'm not making it again.
So take care and have a nice life
Just please don't try to get into mine.
I don't want your e-mail addresses.
I don't want your phone number.
I'm glad you say you're doing well
But the time has come to end
This charade before it
Gets out of hand again.
I made a mistake getting
Close to you years ago
And that is a mistake I
Don't want to make again.
Goodbye forever.

Poetry: Good-bye
by Jon Coe
Bring me my slippers and bring me my pipe
I'm off to retirement, had enough of the hype
Turn on the television and pour
by Sierra White
I cannot say,
It won't come out,
I wish it were far away,
But the time has come,
For us to part,
And I'll just sob and
The time is here to leave this place, never to return.
Everyone, they make mistakes, and this is how they learn.
The struggles
Petals wade through air
Something more permanent remains:
Leaves
But everlasting are the roots
That we grew here
Together.
Don’t
It wasn't working for you but I was content
It wasn't good enough, so away I went
You lied about us and the way I made you
