As Christmas approaches us quickly, there has been an onslaught of new racing video games that have entered the market. Since racing games have become more diverse over the years and there are different types available, it become confusing to decide which ones are most accessible for a certain age range or gaming experience level. Forza Motosport 3 (Xbox 360)

The third installment of this popular racing series is the most realistic one yet. The game will, for the most part, be like the past two. It will also include the addition of some much anticipated features such as SUV's available as drivable vehicles and even more downloadable content off of the Xbox Live Marketplace. Forza Motosport 3 is probably best suited for children thirteen and up as children may struggle with the sometimes difficult game play. It is rated "E" for everyone, so it is safe for the entire family. From the beautiful graphics and now over 405 new raceable cars available, to the online game play and downloadable content, Forza 3 is a must buy for the serious video gamer.

Dirt 2 (Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, Wii, Nintendo DS, Playstation Portable)

Dirt 2 is the second installment of the Dirt series. Dirt is an off-road style game with twists and turns around every bend. The game play is more of an offensive approach to driving like the Burnout series. The game play and graphics were regarded as very high quality by major gaming websites and magazines. The game features online play on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Playstation Portable systems. The game is rated T for teens so it wasn't designed for children under the age of thirteen in mind, and may be difficult for younger users to get the feel of. Dirt 2 is perfect for the reckless gamers and ones who love to crash and smash their ways to victory.

Need for Speed: Nitro (Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS)

All of the Wii and Nintendo DS owners out there this year are in for a treat this holiday season. Need for Speed: Nitro is the long anticipated Need for Speed game being released specifically for Nintendo's two strongest systems. The game play will be like most of the Need for Speed games from past years such as driving downtown and having a wide-open area in your reach to go where you please. The games graphics will be different this year as they will feature more of a cartoon-like style of graphics. The game will also make use of the Wii's
