Finding a great gift for the dad who has everything need not be so difficult even if you are on a limited budget. All you need is some time and a little bit of creativity and lots of love. There are a number of things that you could do that are not going to empty out your wallet. I guarantee you that your dad will treasure and be delighted with these gifts.
If your dad loves music, you could do a little research on what types of music he likes and who his favorite artists are. Once armed with a song list, you could download him a variety of his favorite music onto a CD or a small collection of CDs.
Another thing you could do that is guaranteed to please is to collect some pictures of yourself and some of your fondest memories together and create a scrapbook. Neatly handwrite some of your special memories and add them to the scrapbook along with the pictures. My daughter did this for me a few years back and of all the gifts I recieved that year and before and since, it is my all time favorite. I pull it out and read through it often and each time I some new detail that I'd missed before. I never tire of reading her thoughts and our times together through her eyes.
Other things you could do is to bake him a large container of his favorite cookies. Cookies can be kept in the freezer and pulled out as needed or wanted.
Above I have listed some ideas that take creativity and / or time. Maybe time is not a commodity that you have much of or maybe you are not the creative type. Don't give up hope. There are still some gifts that are thoughtful that dad will love and still will not empty out your wallet. Below are a few examples:
1. Is dad a coffee drinker? How about a refill cup from Dunkin Donuts or his favorite coffee shop? These cups are under 10.00 and are a must for anyone who indulges in coffee away from home. His coffee costs will be nearly cut in half with one of these handy dandy refill cups.
2. Another very cool device is a change collector for his vehicle. These little gadgets divide the coins and are portable enough for him to bring in the store with him. They can be found at any department store in the Automobile section for under $10.00.
3. One of my girls got her dad a plain silver wrist band and had it engraved with a nice message letting him know how how much she loved him. He loved it and wears it daily.
There are many, many more gifts that dad will love and that are under 10.00. I hope the suggestions I've given you here are helpful. Better yet, I hope they inspire you to come up with some original ideas of your own. Any gift that you give him that comes from your heart will be appreciated forever. Just remember this: Dad may have everything but the one thing that he will never ever have too much of is your love. Put your heart into it and you can't possibly go wrong!
