One of the essentials in internet marketing is having an autoresponder service. We all try to keep our costs to a minimum but this is one thing you cannot do business online without. There are a handful of items I will say are absolute must haves and are worth spending money on and an autoresponder is definitely in the top three. Just be sure to use a quality service that has all the features that you need.

Keeping in contact with your prospects is absolutely essential to your success in any business. It has been said that a person must see an advertisment at least 7 times before they act on it. This means you need to constantly keep in contact with your prospects. The best way to do that is with an automated system. It would be nearly impossible to keep up with sending out the necessary amount of emails to every prospect without the help of an autoresponder. It also allows you to create a campaign of emails in a specific order so that there is no way you will miss sending anything.

Using an automated system also helps you to create a relationship with your prospect. If they keep seeing messages from you in their inbox on a regualr and consistant basis they won't forget about you. They will also keep on getting helpful hints and tips from you which makes you an expert in your field. People want to buy from experts. Building your reputation is extremely important. That being said, be sure to always send quality e-mails to your prospects. If you e-mail them just to e-mail them then you will have a much higher rate of un-subscribes. Write e-mails in your campaign that have good information in them. Make sure its something they will really want to read and will hopefully learn something new.

My favorite reason for using an autoresponder is that you can be sending out marketing material to a prospect and not even be working! The service does it for you. All you need to do is set up a campaign ahead of time and save it. This means you can be on vacation in the Caribbean and your prospects continue to get messages from you. What could be better then that?

There are many different services that you can use. Two services I have tried and had great success with are GetResponse and aWeber. I highly recommend signing up for one of these services immediately. They both have great tutorials and helpful information to get you started.
