Poetry: Purpose

Amnesia.

As the Ending falls into the beginning
I think to myself what does all this mean
How will it affect the future that has now ceased
To be reality in the minds of humanity

It all began on the night before last
When a common thug swung a knife
That ripped through my gut with a silent swipe
grabbing my wallet He ran away
Laughing at me as I tried
holding my intestines in

Growing lightheaded I stubble
And fall- hitting my head
On a sharp cement block
blacking out I become dead to the world

When I awoke I found myself
In a strange white room
What the nurses call -a hospital
I knew not who I was
Nor where I came from
Only where I was going
Somewhere far away from here

I was given a fresh start at life
That night my old life died
And my new one began
Ceasing the reality that I knew
And killing all the humanity
That I held dear

But everything is so clear now
The fulfilling of my destiny
My God ordained purpose
Cleansing the world of its filth
Washing it away with blood.
