Halloween is coming, are you ready? In these hard economic times it is hard to buy a costume at the prices they are going for. What are you going to do? I can help.
Second hand costume stores can offer more than kids pants or shirts. They can offer Halloween costumes at a fair price. Betty's Boutique is found all across America and it can be one of the most inexpensive stores for Halloween costumes. IF you do not have a Betty's Boutique try to find another second hand store that fits your needs. Open up the phone book and let your fingers do the walking to consignment shops. You will be surprised at how many second hand stores are out there.
There is another option to consider...Craigslist.com. Craigslist shares many items for many holidays including Halloween. Since Halloween is not far away you may want to search the website today. There you can find great costumes at fair price. Some are used and some have never been used. It's an online trip worth taking since the options can spread from simple kids costumes to adult costumes. From horror to not so horrific. You can also find props to make your costume one of the best in town.
The third option would be yard sales. Sure it may be cold outside but that does not stop those from getting rid of some old junk in the attic. It would be smart to call the yard sale conductor to ask if they do have Halloween costumes on sale. The way to do that is to get the local Ad-Pack and find the yard sale section. In some cases the paper will list costumes that may be on sale. There are those that will sell you a costume before the yard sale date....just ask.
The fourth idea comes from your very own closet and make-up kit. You could be a bum or a zombie. This has saved many people money in the past and has been quite fun for those witnessing your costume and for the one wearing it. Creativity does not always have to be expensive.
Whether you go here or there or nowhere...finding a cheap Halloween costume can be accomplished. You just have to pursue the goal in order to get there. Keep your eyes open for any costume sales in the area as a buy one get one free is perfect for large families with many children. Open up a circular and see what they have to offer. You may not be disappointed.
