Wishing I was done today.
I spend my day collecting time,
so I can spend that time with you,
and often think, are you like me,
just rushing through all you must do,
to get to all you wish to do,
as I find I am doing now?
So I can spend that time with you,
I face each depth and breech each brow.
I swim the lake of day to day,
and comb the beach, as combers do,
and save my minutes as I say,
so I can spend that time with you.
Mid swim upon an isle of chores,
I stopped for tea, and take a pause.
