He walked upon the water and made the blind to see
With just a word he calmed a storm upon the Galilee
He turned some water into wine, spoke words both straight and true
But when he rose again from death he made creation new.
When Jesus died upon that tree
He did for you, he did for me
He bled and died to set us free
From sin and death eternally
He taught with common stories, the fallen were his friends
With wit and wisdom parried the high and mighty men
Loose women were forgiven on him their ointment poured
And one day every knee shall bow and all will call him lord.
His friend was dead and buried all closed up in a cave
And yet afar he tarried before he came to save
Come forth he called out to him and Lazarus he came
And now the name of Jesus is above all other names.
For forty days he fasted and beat the devil's test
all foes' attacks he thwarted even their very best
He took a coin out of a fish to pay the Roman tax

I was sitting by the road one day,
When a man passed by my way,
I asked for alms,
But He seemed not to hear,
Then suddenly
Oh Lord
You take all pain away
And
When I see the empty cross,
I know I'll be okay
You provide for my every need
You take
