I am engaged to a soldier who is a Sgt. Why should the age go up? Most kids, and my age group and even, sadly, older have no respect for themselves or for anyone else. If anything the military teaches the person to not only honor and respect yourself and your home, but your elders. And in todays day in age we need more of that's I think it is disrespectful how so many people treat our county and are disrespectful to our soldiers and each other. I think that 18 is the prefect b to join the military. You finish school and you get your ass kicked learning how to me a real man or woman.

It isn't easy, you have PT at 5am and have to work hard every day, but guess what, life isn't easy and the men and women who serve our county are amazing and every day do something that is meaningful, unlike so many other Americans out there that refuse to do anything for there country or for anyone else other then themselves. Sadly war is a huge part of being a soldier marine or any other branch. But someone has to do it, they are what makes America free no matter what anyone else wants to say or think about it.

Someday America will be destroyed cause we wont have has many good men and women and good Americans to fight for our country anymore, and then what? We wont have any freedom what so ever. 18 is the perfect age to join the military. it teaches you something. It teaches you how to live with honor respect and dignity.

Why should we change it? Because they are to young? At 18 we all think we know it all really, even when we don't It's a life decision that will effect there lives, but yet it is there choose after they are old enough to get married then they complete school, what difference does it make? It's cold for them, and I hope all my children join the military and fight for what's right. In America we have to many selfish people only thinking about what makes there liives easier or naive people who don't understand that other countries will always want to kill us. It's good to train them up young and teach them right from wrong. And the military does that
