Multilevel marketing (MLM) like any other business opportunity requires a passion for the product and/or service to accumulate wealth. There are few differences in the structure of opening a McDonald's Franchise versus starting an at home Goji Berry, Avon, Financial advancement service or any of the thousands of products sold through MLM's, besides the start-up costs and/or overhead requirements. There has been a misconception that MLM's are scams or pyramids, well they are not, they are simply smaller franchise opportunities making many independently wealthy. There are many individuals who make a living from their MLM business, some are even millionaires.

How do these individuals get to become wealthy? Passion for the product. You may even see these very successful individuals at your local Marriott Hotel hosting a seminar. Like any business venture, when starting an MLM venture you have to take on your network marketing companies mission statement as if you wrote it yourself. Network marketing (MLM) is all about people who love a product and /or service and do not mind telling everyone that breathes near them about it; that is how they became successful. The masters at selling products through MLM's or any sales based business become obsessed with the product they are selling, while investing time and money into the business.

Like Avon and Mary Kay, some network marketing opportunities have a built in customer base. These business opportunities make it much easier to leverage an entrepreneurs efforts. Avon is now airing commercials on television for their scents and makeup products, this is a tremendous advance for the entrepreneurs involved. If a business savvy person loves make-up, what better opportunity would they have than to use an established network marketing company that sells beauty products consumers want. Once they enlist, then the entrepreneurs must invest money and time into marketing their business to individual and surrounding networks, that they sell that particular product or service.

Entrepreneurs must leverage themselves as the go to person for that MLM's product/service or business opportunity. Like any standard business, success grows over time. Continuous marketing of an entrepreneurs name attached to a particular MLM business will grow their sales as people search out to purchase products or enlist in the business opportunity. Like any other business, entrepreneurs must focus on those who show interest and expand on their interest
