One of the most important things for us to understand in our journey of life is that we need to live our life to its fullest potential. We should learn to be happy and enjoy every single moment of life. It is important for us to take the time to stop and breathe in the breath of life. It only takes a moment to pause and take the time to enjoy something as simple as the scent of a rose! None of us knows how much time we have been given to live or even enjoy our life. Do we ever take the time to realize how important it is to make each and every precious moment count? Life was never meant to be easy it is, however, meant to be lived! 

There is an old saying which says that we should "take time and smell the roses". This saying had to be from a person who was enlightened and really in touch with the reality of life. So many people spend too much of their life focusing on the things which are bad, that they end up missing out on all the wonderful and good things. We do not need to look for the bad; it has a way of finding us without any effort on our part. The bad things that happen in life are what give us the insight and ability to learn and fully appreciate all the good that are around us.

One of the worst possible things that we can do with our life is to waste it. We need to live life to its fullest potential. Death gives us a time limit in which to accomplish all the things that we can squeeze into the time we have been given. We need to enjoy the gift of life and appreciate everything and everyone who is around us.  Take time to look around and see all the wonders of nature. Do we ever look up to enjoy the magnificent sky, or take time to see the wondrous trees or to feel the majestic power and beauty of the ocean? Do we really appreciate all the beauty that is around us, or even take the time to realize that it is there? These are all the wondrous things that enrich our lives and the lives of the people around us. All these magnificent things might as well not be there if we refuse to take time to enjoy them or even see them.

We do not learn all we need to know by looking ahead or trying to figure out where we want to go in life. We learn by where we are now and by taking the time to look, relate and learn from our past experiences. We all need to look ahead and make some plans for the future which are based on where we want to go with our life. Living is in the journey we take and not in the destination! If we can believe this, life becomes so much more livable and will hold enjoyment and rewards beyond our wildest imagination.

The best advice on the journey of life is to “live”. Appreciate everything that is good and enjoy all the beauty that surrounds us. Be kind to people, even if they are not kind to you. Learn to be tolerance and be a good listener. We should holdout our hand to help others, even if they would not help us! Be a good person and the goodness will spread to one person at a time. Just remember what a very wise person once said, "Life is a journey; not a destination".
