Remember the promise you lovingly made?
The way you looked into her eyes that day.
The loving look you shared with her.
Life seemed a magical love felt blurr.
Then the tide began to change.
Your touch was as if it rearranged.
They were so in love or were they?
Felt so right. Yet would the love stay?
All the darkness you would hide
She couldn't see what was kept inside.
As years went by the truth came out.
She slowly began to have her doubts.
When it was good it was really good.
When it was bad she feared like she should.
Hidden secrets. Lies untold
Tears from anger you control.
Her heart belonged to you alone
No where would she ever roam.
Cuz even though you hurt her so
Your grip on her she can't let go.

What have you done?
These words, unspoken
All act as one
In her mind you seemed so perfect
In the light you
by Jon Coe
Facing darkness, in love
ticking loudly, my dove
Seconds, fly, away
hours, turn, into day
Blindly tunneling, to dark
heart leads,
