PARTY SHOES FOR LUCY
I love my mummy's party shoes,
They're pretty, pink and high,
And when my mummy puts them on,
She can touch the sky.
I wish my feet's were bigger,
So I could have some of my own,
But I'm not allowed to wear them,
Not until I'm big and grown.
I think that I'm a big girl,
I am really big, I'm three!
But 'not yet' says my mummy,
No party shoes for me.
I try when she's not looking,
I step in and I grow,
I slide my toes into those shoes,
My mummy doesn't know.
I feel like such a growed up girl,
As I clip-clop across the floor,
And even though my mummy says No,
I want them more and more.
I want to go out dancing,
I'm a princess after all,
I want to spin and twirl my dress,
I'll never, ever fall.
My mummy says she'll take me,
To the shops and let me choose,
When I'm big enough to fit my feet,
In my very own Party Shoes.
