"The Mask of Disguise"

Take a look at me.
Can you see my pain?
Can you feel what I feel when I awaken everyday?
Can you read between the lines of every word I say?

Look closely at me.
Tell me what it is you see.
Or have I become that good at pretending to be happy?

What's wrong with you?
You ask,
Nothing!
I reply with a smile.
So that you don't see the agony that I've been wearing on my face for a while.

I've made myself strong,
So you'd never catch me crying!
I've built a brick wall,
So you'd never see that inside I'm dying!
I've suppressed this pain,
so you'd never get caught in the drain.
Because If I ever hurt like that again, there will be no stopping my rain!

Ha, ha, ha, I'm sure that by now you think I'm insane.
But I'm not...
I'm just damaged by pain!

Look at me now!
Do I look the same?
Without my masks of laughs and smiles... now I'm playing your game!
So welcome... to my unpleasant world of pain.
