How to clean your house

Cleaning one's home may seem like a tedious task, but a little bit every day will ensure that you stay on top of the housework, so you will not have to continuously be bothered about dirt in your home. Here are some great tips for cleaning your home.

1. De-clutter
A great way to start of tidying and cleaning your house, is to remove any items that you do not need and items that just build up such as boxes, newspapers and letters. Throw them or store them away and out of site.

2. Organise your home
Making sure that your home is clean is to start organising it, creating a space for your books, toys, clothes and even shoes! Another thing that people are also constantly losing is umbrellas, keys, watches and phones; you can create an allocated space for these items so they will not get lost continuously.

3. Cleaning utensils
Having the right cleaning materials can make cleaning a whole lot easier for yourself. It is great to carry a medium sized plastic bag to collect rubbish and items that you do not really need and those that cannot be sucked up by the vacuum cleaner. You will need items such window cleaners, bathroom cleaners, kitchen cleaners, furnisher polisher/cleaners, carpet cleaners, wipes and of course some rags and scrubbers to scour away the stubborn dirt and grease. You should also fit into clothes that you do not mind getting dirty and which you are comfortable in or putting on a cleaning apron to protect your clothing.

4. Room after room
It is easier to start cleaning similar rooms such as the bedrooms and lounges each after another because they need the same cleaning utensils which you can carry around in a basket for each room.

You can then go on to start cleaning the toilet and bathrooms as they both need the same cleaning utensils.

5. Hoover
The floor is an overlooked aspect of one's home, even if the room is spotless, a dirty, messy carpet or wooden flooring will make it look as if you have not cleaned a thing. So make sure that you get the vacuum out and do a proper cleaning of the floor removing all dirt and stains from the floor in order to complete the cleaning process.

The floor should be the last place to be cleaned as you collect dirt and rubbish on the floor while actually cleaning, so the last thing you should do it clean all of it up.

6. Tidy up after yourself
Instead of waiting for the build up of mess around your house; stop it in its tracks by putting items where they belong when you finish with it. If you've had a cup of tea, make sure to wash it and store it, instead of having a large load at the end of the day. Clothing should be put into the cupboard not the floor or bed. Trash should be put into the bin. Magazines and newspapers should be stored in a designated place.

7. Cleaning Routines
If you always tidy up after yourself the less cleaning you have to do, but you should set up a cleaning routine to make your life more organised. You can do a proper cleaning once every 2 weeks, but a good cleaning once a week. Though using a vacuum cleaner once a day will automatically make you realise the amount of dirt that builds up on the floor.

Make sure you distribute different tasks to different days in order to make it a bit easier for you, if you don't mind cleaning, you can do a 20 minute clean every day so you don't live with any mess at all. If not, you can do laundry one day and iron the next.

Cleaning isn't at all a hard task, it is easy to withhold once in practice, make your home a home to live in, a beautiful, clean home where you can relax and unwind.
