Tall and majestic, they tower overhead.
The child is small and the stalk is long.
Grandfather waters it daily to make it grow:
he says it's the tallest he's seen in his

years.
The harvest-like colours melt into the landscape of corn.
The stem extends to reveal a golden cup,
its face smiling in the golden sun.
The child looks up and says
it's travelling toward heaven.
