There are many signs that someone might like you, I will outline some main ones for you. With these tips you will be able to better decipher the signs of affection from the opposite sex. These tips can be used for male or females. They're universal signs that someone likes you. They can like you as a friend or like you as a potential mate. Be knowledgeable and use common sense in all situations. There's no one golden rule and every rule has exceptions. But it's easier than you think. Read on.

One good sign that someone may like you is prolonged eye contact. If they look long and they look often that's a good sign.

Another good sign is a smile. Keep in mind that the smile has to be for YOU and not just a universal smile. Some people just smile all the time. But if the one you desire smiles when they see you, that's a good sign.

Shyness is also a good sign. If someone suddenly becomes shy when they see you that's a definite sign. Around anybody else they're fine but around YOU, the talking stops, and their eyes usually hit the ground.

Looking to the ground is a sign all it's own. If your walking down the street and you make eye contact, keep watching them (in a non-creepy way). If the suddenly look at the ground and then return to normal, that's a good thing. Note that if they look off to the side, that usually means no interest.

One obvious sign is getting close to you. People usually like their personal space, but if they suddenly come close to you that means something. If they come to you face on that shows a bold character. If they're in front of you with their back turned that shows a level of submission. Beware if they come from behind, they just might be trying to steal your wallet!

Another strong sign is talking to you. If they talk to you more than the other people around you that means they favor you. This tip is of course for a setting where you're always around the same people. Work or school for example.

There are many more signs to look out for but go seek them on your own. Reading all these articles won't help. Go out and be friendly with people. Observe body language and see if they like you or not. Who knows how far it will go. You can find friends or a potential mate just by noticing how they act towards you.
