The iPod Touch is one of the two most customisable iPod's in circulation today, equal to the iPhone in that aspect, and this is what is the greatest thing about the iTouch. We could download a YouTube application and watch YouTube videos on it, or we could download a Twitter application and "Tweet" from our iTouch's or even Facebook from them. There are weather applications, stockbroker applications, and now the most successful, the games applications, through which you can download and install and play games. Seeing that these applications are so easy to download and install, its no wonder that thousands of people are downloading them everyday, and now that free applications are popping up from certain developers, its becoming all the more alluring to click that "Download" button, and install it onto our iTouch.
But wait. What if you just downloaded an application on a whim and did so with several others? Now your iTouch's memory is filled with these applications, and your screen is cluttered with icons, icons that you might use once in a while, but then would like to remove from your beloved iTouch. Most people now get stuck in a situation where they have tens of unused applications and don't know how to remove them from their iTouch and clear up their memory, there-by making the iTouch faster. In reality it is quite an easy process, attainable in a short amount of time.
First and foremost, exit out of all your applications and come to your home screen or "springboard". Now navigate to the application that you would like to delete. Once you have the application in sight, use your finger to press down and hold the application, meaning keep it pressed. In a few seconds the screen will start to "wiggle". Now you can see that there is a small "X" (Cross) in the upper left-hand corner of the application. Simply click onto that "X" (Cross), and a prompt will show up. At the prompt confirm that you would like to remove the application. Once you have completed that, press the "Home" button to stop the "wiggling" effect.
And there you have it, you have now successfully uninstalled an application that you did not want in a relatively simple and non time consuming manner. Be sure to remove the application from your iTunes, as not doing so will result in it being reinstalled the next time you Sync your iTouch.
