I Wonder
Sitting all alone on this wayside of life
Remembering the pain, the joy, and the strife
No signals are here that point in a direction
I find no reason for poetic description
Mind channels filled with the cobwebs of time
People I have known who understand about rhyme
A small play on words that are yearning for echo
Tangles of sounds seeking a slot they will go
Is there a mind place where the words come out right
A place between thoughts that will turn on the light
No untried passage that will hinder the quest
Hoping for any muse that will come as a guest
I sit and I wonder about what it can mean
Grab a new sheet and make sure that it's clean
Just for a few words that will show me the way
A memory surfacing spins hope for the day
Sometimes the thought will point a direction
You sweat out the lines watch the inflection
Something you saw or a thing that you heard
Over and over you keep mumbling that word
Is this what I said will my word choice be right
An explanation I strive for alone in the night
Will words stir up hope for some kind of meaning
For seekers of truth intent on believing
The last thought I had as I lay down my head
Something I remembered or maybe I read
My eyelids are heavy its my time to recharge
Daylight will come to find those meanings at large

Poetry: I wonder
by Jenifer Rose
You often ask me
What's on my mind
What am I thinking
Trying to hide deep inside
I want so badly to tell you
What's on my mind
I Wonder

WHY?
Flowers bloom
with loving care
happiness felt
while petals glowed.
They multiply
with different colors
spreading its sweet
I wonder when it comes down to the last second where it ends.
I wonder sometimes, how close to the edge you have been.
Maybe
I Wonder
Do you ever wonder why the world became so dark?
Or why there's homeless people who sleep in streets and parks?
Do
