Oh clay, is there a better medium out there? Well it really depends on the project but when you're working with clay you can be sure that you will be able to make something that will last for years and you can make anything you can think up. Also the best thing about polymer clays is that they don't dry out until you bake them so if you need to take a break for a meal or a long phone call you don't have to worry about your project being ruined, you can even leave it over night or longer if need be.

First that comes to mind and probably easiest is refrigerator magnets. Make sure you read your pack for the recommended thickness and go from there. Cut out your shape and add on any 3D details you like and blend to make sure it won't fall off or make layered pieces to bake separately to glue together later. You can use hot glue, super glue or tacky craft glue some clay companies even have their own glue that is made special for their products, to adhere the magnets to the back after baking and painting (if you paint them).

If you would like to make something a little more useful you could make a cellphone holder. Just make sure your phone will fit inside it or if you're making it for someone else you should figure out which phone they have and how big it is. I've had a few people pick out holders they liked but didn't fit the phone they were getting it for.

Maybe a candy dish just remember that not all clays are food friendly so maybe pick a glaze or clear coat that is or only put wrapped candy in your dish. The great things about clay is that you don't just have to make a round bowl you can make one shaped like a leaf, a pumpkin or a witch's hat. Whatever comes to mind goes when you're working with clay.

If you have a tree or branchy plant or maybe just an ornament holder you can make some Halloween themed ornaments for it. Glue ribbons to the back of your shapes after they've been baked or you can put a metal loop in the top before baking.

Like any holiday project, think of what that holiday means to you and the figures that makes you think of that holiday and go from there.
