Judging George Bush's performance as president

George Bush's performance as president compared to some of the past presidents in time of turmoil is below standards. To mention a few notables-Abraham Lincoln, who had no experience in government, presided over a nation that was on the verge of becoming two separate nations and two separate ways of life. He and his family suffered a great sacrifice because of his determination to hold on to the idea of one nation is better than two nations sharing the same land. Franklin Roosevelt presided over a world in turmoil. His ingenious ideas to rid the citizens of the Great Depression, aid to help prevent a dictator from taking over Europe, whose aims were to rid the world of Jews and to make the world an Aryan nation; and finally joining with the world to remove this dictator from power, was the first step in making the country a leader of the world. John Kennedy who during the Cold War with the Soviet Union chose diplomacy over military might during the Cuban Missile Crisis and he promoted tolerance and equal opportunity for all. Jimmy Carter, who initiated the Mideast Peace talks between Israel and its neighbors to avoid an all out war in that part of the region. Bill Clinton, who too used diplomacy as a method to avoid a Mideast conflict.

George Bush's domestic policies has allowed companies to outsource their production to other countries, have allowed immigrants to live in this country illegally while reaping in the benefits this country provides without penalty and ignoring the fact the middle class is becoming extinct. His foreign policy is one-sided and arrogant, not to mention questionable. He refuses to use diplomacy as a means to solve the conflict in the Mideast, which in the end will be a greater issue for the next president and the world.

A president is judged by his accomplishments for the good of the country. George Bush has failed miserably. He has done nothing to better this country domestically or participated in making this world a better place to live in. I give him an F.
