Motivate yourself with these reasons why you need to exercise. Read them before you work-out. Read them after you work-out. Pick a favourite, print it out and place it on a wall where you can always see it. Getting fit starts from deciding you want to.
Because you love yourself.
You can have the best clothes and accessories that hide your flaws, highlight your assets and so on. But getting down to the bottom of it all, you want to look good in anything you choose to wear. Now, to an extent we are all limited by our natural bone structure but exercise goes a long way in helping you achieve the body you want in a safe and long-lasting way.
Going over and beyond diets, exercise gives you increased energy and vitality so you don't just look good, but you feel good as well. You might try a diet or you may even see a specialist to help you on a weight loss program. The thing is, even if you lose all that weight, you can never maintain it unless exercise becomes a part of your lifestyle. The good news is that the more developed your muscles are, the more energy your body uses up just to maintain those muscles. So just by having more muscle, you burn more than the average person.
Now some people simply say, "That's not for me because I don't want to look bulky and have muscles". Well, did you know that there are different types of exercises you can do for different results. There are a variety of exercises such as yoga, pilates, dance where you use your own body weight as resistance and emphasis is placed on flexibility. The result is longer leaner muscles. More active form of exercise such as running and aerobics, anything that gets your heart rate up for a prolonged period over 30 minutes helps you burn fat. Others want to be strong and show off well defined muscles, resistance training and weight lifting is good for that.
Do yourself a favour and start to exercise, not just so that you look good but so that you feel good as well. Love yourself and keep yourself healthy through proper diet and exercise.
Because of your loved ones.
Exercise not only for yourself but also for your loved ones. Enjoy life with your sons, daughters, mother, father, friend or spouse by enjoying fun activities with them or simply just being there. Stay fit and healthy so that you can be more positive around your loved ones and friends and literally so that you can stay healthy enough to be able to live long enough.
Because it's fun.
