Those 16 and older might want to consider the Honolulu Zoo for volunteer opportunities. A preliminary interview is required, as well as a second interview and an orientation process. There is a 3 month minimum required to be a volunteer, and a current TB test is required. There are opportunities available in a variety of positions.

Foster Botanical Gardens depends on the help of volunteers to keep their services going. If you love nature, this is the perfect chance to give your time to a good cause. Mission House Museum seeks those willing to serve as educational advisor's, gallery attendants, desk attendants, and many others. People are needed for weekday as well as weekends. No experience is needed, but you must have a positive attitude and a caring heart.

Castle Medical Center is looking for those who enjoy meeting new people and always wear a smile on their face. You will be the first impression of our center greeting patients, answering phones, and other light duty office type work. You must be at least 18 years of age.

Habitat For Humanity is always looking for those who do not mind a little hard work. Help with the constuction of a new home for a low income family. Those 16 and older are welcomed, with or without construction skills.

Queen's Medical Center seeks those who have experience in an office setting. Volunteers are needed to assist with various office tasks, such as filing, answering telephones, data entry, and typing. Proof of vaccinations as well as a TB test clearing are required, and you must be at least 18 years of age with good customer service skills.
