THE LITTLE COUNTRY BAND
Although many listened, many never heard,
The beautiful meaning, he spoke in every word,
Although they loved the music,
They did not understand,
The heart of the singer, in the little country band.
He sang of his daddy, oh how hard he tried,
To fight the hell of musketel, all the tears he cried,
He sang of his mama, and her heart of gold,
Her beauty if on pages, no earthly book could hold.
Through all the smoke and laughter,
His tears were well disguised,
He thought about the sunshine in the Colorado skies,
And although his heart was breaking,
From his memories,
He kept the bar folk dancing with his melodies.
Although many listened many never heard,
The beautiful meanings, he spoke in every word,
Although they loved the music,
They could not understand the heart of the singer,
In the little country band.

The brother for whom this poem was written, went to heaven Saturday , Feb.27, 2010
It has taken until today that I can say his name without tears..
I am still unable to lilsten to the radio, because I don't know a single song that we
didn't try to harmonize with each other on. I truly miss the harmony.

THE LITTLE COUNTRY BAND
Although many listened, many never heard,
The beautiful meaning, he spoke in every word,
Although
In some crowded hotel
where the heart-broken go.
There sits a de-crowned monarch.
Who squats at the bar,
to pass the time
and
Cars and Hearts
I'm gonna get a mustang
Fill up that gas tank
Drive the hell outta tha thing
Let the gas pedal hit the floor
by Haley Wilson
Drivin down the road
In my beat up pick up truck
When my tire gets a flat
I guess that's just my luck
When that country music
Comes
God Knows I'm a Country Girl
God knows I'm a country girl,
and wouldn't trade it for nothin' in this world.
