Being frugal doesn't mean you can't enjoy a few indulgences now and again. Dining out can be very refreshing, although, wonderful as it may be to relax, going to a restaurant can be draining to the finances. It's nice to splurge, but it's also attractive to save money at the same time. eHow.com and Restaurant.com have great tips for helping you save money while dining at restaurants. Provided here in this article are great little whispers of advice for saving money on your next dining experience.
Drink light
Drinking water can downplay the expense of your bill. Fountain drinks such as sodas have a high markup rate that can balloon one's bill. Paying for such things as fountain drinks is something we all do without taking a second thought to the notion, and have all encountered the "how ridiculous" thought when the bill arrives. Instead of ordering sodas, or even those fruity alcoholic drinks, drink water and save the soda for later. Not only is drinking water an economical savings, but healthier as well.
Coupons
You can receive many coupons through the mail for restaurants. You can sign up via the Internet to receive these coupons by mail, or some restaurants have coupon books you can purchase. Either way you choose, it's a big savings for the wallet. Restaurant.com offers gift certificates for purchases, it's as easy as logging on to the site, print, and then give the certificate back to the restaurant when you pay. Be sure to check for exclusions, promo codes, and expiration dates on all coupons and certificates. Coupons are marvelous features for saving money.
Share a meal
If you are in the mood for a little one-on-one time with your husband/wife or significant other and your target is a nice meal at a restaurant, but your bank account is looking a bit low, there is a harmonious way to eat a meal from your favorite restaurant and save yourself money. Pick a meal that both of you like or would like to try, and split the meal. Sharing a meal can give each of you a satisfying dinner and save the bank account a few pennies. Many restaurants serve sizable portions of food where you veritably get a lot of food for your money. For added comfort and closeness, order the meal to go and eat from the comfort of your own home. You can enjoy a meal that you didn't have to cook, you can skip the tip and you can still split the same meal, adding up the savings in every meaning of the word.
