New Regulations Desperately Needed in the Computer Industry:
I'll start out by saying the most important things one can do on his/her computer (including "housekeeping" habits) to keep ti relatively free of viruses and functionoing fairly well and without long delays, etc. These are: subscribing to an antivirus/antispyware program, running updates and scans with it at least every other day, only opening emails or their attachments from trusted or known sources, deleting cookies, and, deleting "temporary internet files" every time as the first thing you do after logging on, and the last thing you do before logging off. Here's a vital point that most people do not know: there is a definition of "malware" that refers to trojans and other malicious code that hijacks your BROWSER to send it to a site other than what you want - be it your homepage or a site you entered. I want to emphasize that NO commercial antivirus/antispyware company out there on the market can catch these "Browser hijackers". There's only one thing that will protect your computer from browser hijackers, and that is something you can get for free called "Malwarebytes". Go to the site and download Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes is not a substitute to your antivirus/antispyware program, but it is to be installed and run as a SUPPLEMENT to it. Many computers in banks, universities, government institutions use Malwarebytes. It is absolutely essential to today's computer. DISCLAIMER: This is NOT intended as an advertisement for malwarebytes; it is just a statement that this author knows of NO OTHER system that will protect you from browser hijackers - as of the date I write this.
But one can't help wonder about having to do these same scan routines, over and over again (not that it is not important, don't get me wrong) is a frustrating, unnecessary inconvenience, and treats only the symptoms of the greater problem, and not the root of all roots, of the problem, itself. In the following article, I am going to tell computer users what the real issues are, and, in the last paragraph, I will tell computer users (who are serious about getting to the root of the problem) how to permanently solve the problem once and for all.
Well over 90% of all computer viruses, not to mention other malicious code as well as many other general frustrations computer users experience could be eliminated if the following common sense rules and regulations could be mandated, as
