How to get in shape for the snowboarding season

http://www.snowboardsecrets.co m/shapeup.htm -A bunch of compiled exercises for the upcoming snowboard season that have been useful for riders of all ages. A few of these exercises are also great for balancing tricks in the pipe or park. The thing that I like about them is that they are off the beaten path of normal exercises and are quite fun to do. I have been riding since 1998, using all types of snowboards to various disciplines such as freeride and alpine hardboot boards. I have found that incorporating a few exercises prior to the start of the season not only gets an individual amped for the season but also gets their body in shape to ride longer, have better balance, and achieve higher airs. My suggestion is to pick a few of the exercises that you would be capable of doing and then progress from there. Feel free to add your own technique or style to make the exercises easier or harder depending on what you are looking for.

It also helps to have a good diet. By having a good diet, you will find that long strenuous runs become easy seeing as though your muscles that are hard at work have enough fuel to keep them going until the end of the day. With the prices of lift tickets today, along with the travel and equipment prices, it's a good investment to make the most out of your fun adventures. Another important factor is to keep the body well hydrated with water. I can't stress this enough. Most people are dehydrated. If you are riding a lot, chances are that you are dehydrated. Drink up! A dehydrated muscle loses performance quickly.

I'll be writing more snowboard articles in the near future so please check back often. Such articles will include advice on board selection, tuning 101-basic to advanced, binding placement-soft boot and hard boot bindings and more. After riding for over 15 years, helping others with the sport is the least that I can offer. I know the joys and lifestyle that snowboarding has brought me and would like everyone to enjoy that wonderful world of snowboarding that I did.

Hope you all have a great season and see you on the slopes! Here is the link again with the exercise videos. Please feel free to comment or suggest some other exercises that you may find to be helpful. If you have any questions, by all means ask! http://www.snowboardsecrets.co m/shapeup.htm
